Wining & Dining with Coral Expeditions

A key ingredient of any Holiday

When exploring the Kimberley Coast with Coral Expeditions you enjoy a multitude of highlights, and not all of them are to be found ashore. Dining is a key component of any memorable holiday experience, and aboard Coral Expeditions’ three ships you will savour distinctly Australian cuisine that reflects the Kimberley itself.

Coral Expeditions’ approach to cuisine is about simplicity and generosity, creating dishes bursting with flavour made from fresh ingredients sourced locally and sustainably wherever possible. They offer a daily selection of plated and small sharing platters that champion seasonality to source local produce at its very best.

When you cruise the Kimberley aboard Coral Discoverer, Coral Adventurer or Coral Geographer you will start each day with tempting choices from a fresh continental or hot breakfast featuring changing daily a la carte options.

Lunches showcase a selection of hot and cold dishes, from salads and cold cuts to soups, fresh local seafood and seasonal tropical fruits both individual platted and small sharing plates.

Each Coral Expeditions Kimberley cruise features a signature pre-dinner experience ashore where expeditioners can enjoy sunset drinks and canapes, often on a beach. These casual ‘sundowners’ are hosted by the Captain and allow you to kick off your shoes and enjoy a beer, wine or cocktail while mingling with fellow guests in a relaxed atmosphere.

Back on board in the open seat dining room (which seats all guests in one sitting), evenings are a convivial time to dine with new friends and reflect on an exciting day of discovery. On the first night of your expedition you are welcomed with a Seafood sharing concept dinner. Other evening meals feature a three-course table d’Hote dinner menu, when selections are offered as you enjoy table service from the engaging dining room staff.

Lunch and dinner menus are accompanied by a curated beverage list, including a selection of house wines, beers and spirits, and each evening sunset drinks are held on the Vista Deck (weather permitting) where guests relax or socialise before being invited into dinner. Each voyage the ships’ Captain hosts a welcome and farewell event with complimentary canapes and beverages.
