See the Kimberley's Waterfalls at their Best

With record rain fall over the Kimberley in recent weeks, 2023 is going to offer ‘prime time viewing’ of the Kimberley’s big waterfalls over coming months. For expeditioners keen to make the most of seeing these falls at their magnificent best, we’ve still got a number of cabins available aboard a handful of ships, including Coral Expedition’s stylish fleet of three small ships, Eco Abrolhos and the 36-passenger Reef Prince.

One of our most popular smaller vessels, Reef Princes operates ten-night expeditions between Broome and Darwin and vice versa, taking in the iconic highlights along the way including Horizontal Falls, Montgomery Reef, King Cascades and King George Falls. There’s also plenty of time to view Aboriginal rock art galleries, and the opportunity to try your hand at fishing and perhaps even catch a Barra’ or two!

An intimate and Stylish Experience

Reef Prince offers five grades of accommodation to travellers. During the first half of the season, remaining cabins are internal, meaning they don’t offer external views, but are comfortable, air-conditioned and have private en suites. While windows are lovely to have, keep in mind that you won’t be spending a heap of time in your cabin on this voyage, as you’re off on excursion twice a day, in the sunny lounge or dining room, or relaxing on deck. With that in mind, taking an internal cabin allows travellers to join heavily sold cruises, at a lower price than if they were to choose one of the more expensive cabin types offering views.

If a window is a must though, from July onwards we do have Class 2 cabins available (small windows) and even the highly sought-after State Class and Class 1 cabins in September!

Can’t thank you enough for hooking us up on the trip. It is very hard in the tourism/hospitality business to be very professional but show it in such a relaxed and casual manner. These guys nailed it. The staff were exceptional from the top down. As a cruise director, Nick demonstrated his skill in ensuring that no one was made to feel left out. Very, very good at his trade and his knowledge of the area where he would change the itinerary to show us waterfalls etc that in a normal year would not be flowing. I think that this trip should be known as the eighth wonder of the world.

Our good friends from ‘The Thirsty Travellers’ Alana and David cruised the Kimberley aboard Reef Prince. You can check out their voyage log detailing their expedition on the link below.
