The classic catamaran Eco Abrolhos accommodates just 32 expeditioners on exploratory journeys along Western Australia’s Kimberley Coast. She is a 35-metre multi-hull small ship with four decks.
Her comprehensive 13-night expedition cruises through the Kimberley are designed for the more active traveller, with ample time for walks and exploration ashore. There are just eight cruises for the season between Wyndham (Kununurra) and Broome and vice versa and the knowledgeable Australian crew pride themselves on showcasing the very best of the Kimberley. The cruises start and finish on the spring tide (new and full moon) to guarantee guests the maximum “WOW” factor at critical tidal attractions such as Montgomery Reef, the Horizontal Falls and the King George and Berkeley rivers – all of which are at the start or end of the expedition. In the middle of the trip, neap tides allow for better fishing and longer stops at the tide-dependent swimming holes and shore-based hikes.
Eco Abrolhos travels with four high-powered tenders, each seating eight guests in comfort. The folding front stairs make beach landings easy for any age.
