When travelling on The Ghan, the itineraries are different depending on whether you are travelling northbound (Adelaide to Darwin) or southbound (Darwin to Adelaide). The traditional 2-night journey from Adelaide offers stops in Alice Springs and Katherine, while the extended 3-night journey from Darwin also offers a day at the Breakaways & remote Coober Pedy.
Adding new touches of style and glamour to the existing Gold Service, Gold Premium’s cabins highlight contemporary design, where the colour palette draws inspiration from the rich colours of Arrernte painter Albert Namatjira’s stunning landscapes.
